Ingredients
- 2 -3 lbs boneless, skinless, chicken breast
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon freshly cracked pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, oregano, basil or thyme
Instructions
- Line an instant pot with the trivet insert. Pour the stock.
- In a large bowl, add the chicken. Sprinkle with brown sugar, garlic powder, italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Toss until well coated with the chicken.
- Single layer the chicken into the instant pot. Secure the lid and vent in the closed position.
- Pressure cook on high for about 10-15 minutes (depending if use fresh or frozen).
- Do a natural pressure release after its done cooking. Measure the internal temperature with instant thermometer and it should read 165°.
- Allow the chicken to rest for at least 5-7 minutes before shredding.
